A Note on the Battery Directive

Battery Directive:

Batteries as well as accumulators may not be disposed of in domestic waste. All end-users are legally obliged to return batteries and accumulators to set up public collecting points or selling points.

The symbol (crossed-out wheeled recycling bin) on the product or packaging as well as in the manual refers to the directive. Batteries with a mass fraction of more than 0.0005 % mercury, more than 0.002 cadmium or more than 0.004 lead are additionally labelled with the symbol of the metals (Hg, Cd, Pb) below the crossed out wheeled recycling bin in cases in which the threshold is exceeded.

By recycling the battery, materials as well as utilization elsewhere, you make an important contribution to preserving our environment!
